Efekto Stalkborer Granules Plus 1 kg Shaker is a ready-to-use granular insecticide designed for the control of stalk borer (Busseola fusca) in maize and sweetcorn. It contains 0.75 g/kg of deltamethrin, a pyrethroid insecticide, and 3.0 g/kg of piperonyl butoxide, a synergist that enhances the effectiveness of the active ingredient. The product is supplied in a convenient shaker container with a perforated top, allowing for easy manual application directly into the funnel of each plant. Application should be done once, as soon as characteristic shot-holes appear on the young leaves, using a rate of 4 kg per hectare, 40 g per 100 m², or 30–40 g per 100 m row length. The granules are economical, easy to apply, and provide effective control when used as directed. Safety precautions include avoiding inhalation of dust, preventing contamination of food and water sources, and keeping the product out of reach of children and animals. The product is toxic to fish and wildlife and should be stored away from food and feed. It is important to allow 14 days between application and grazing or harvest.
