Efekto Eco Rat 140 g is a ready-to-use rodenticide formulated as a soft bait designed to effectively control mice (Mus musculus), Norwegian or brown rats (Rattus norvegicus), and roof rats (Rattus rattus), including strains resistant to anticoagulants. The active ingredient, cholecalciferol (vitamin D₃), at a concentration of 0.075%, allows rodents to consume a small lethal dose, leading to death within 2 to 10 days, often after just one or two feeds. This efficient mechanism reduces bait usage and waste, as more bait remains available for the rest of the colony. The bait contains Bitrex, a bittering agent, to deter accidental human consumption, particularly by children. Highly palatable and durable, it is suitable for use in and around buildings, including areas where rodents are resistant to anticoagulant-based products. The product is designed to minimize the risk of secondary poisoning to non-target species such as owls and other predators. Efekto Eco Rat is registered under Reg. No. L10397 Act No. 36 of 1947 and is classified as slightly hazardous (WHO Class III). It is recommended to place the bait in covered bait points or bait boxes to prevent access by non-target animals and to ensure safety. Proper handling includes wearing gloves during placement and washing hands afterward. Unused bait should be buried or disposed of responsibly at the end of the treatment period. The product should be stored in its original container, tightly closed, in a cool, dry place, away from food, feed, and water sources.
