Choosing the Right Microfiber Cloth
Not all microfiber cloths are created equal! Their density is measured in gsm (grams per square meter) — the higher the number, the more absorbent and plusher the cloth.
Quick gsm Guide:
150–250gsm – Lightweight: Great for general dusting, workshops & everyday cleaning
250–400gsm – Medium-duty: Ideal for kitchens, counters & light polishing
400–600gsm – Heavy-duty: Best for drying, buffing & spill absorption
700–1000+gsm – Ultra plush: Perfect for car detailing, glass & delicate surfaces
Cloths are colour coded to Prevent Cross-Contamination:
Based on the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) cloth colours are used to match cleaning zones:
Blue – General/low-risk areas (e.g. offices, hallways)
Red – High-risk areas (e.g. toilets, bathrooms)
Green – Food preparation zones (e.g. kitchens)
Yellow – Clinical or sink areas (e.g. mirrors, basins)
Purple – Special zones like allergen control
Orange – Waste zones or high-contact points (custom use)
Always use the right colour cloth for the job — and the right colour for the zone — to keep things clean, safe, and contamination-free!
